Terms & Conditions

Terms of contract that you need to know before we start working together ...

Client Agreement

Nature of the Service

  • The service is collaborative and entirely client-led
  • I provide guidance, structure, and practical support
  • All decisions regarding items and organisation remain with the client
  • I do not make decisions on your behalf unless explicitly agreed

Client Responsibilities

  • Be present and engaged during sessions (unless otherwise agreed)
  • Share any relevant circumstances — physical limitations, access requirements, etc.
  • Ensure a safe and appropriate working environment

Working Hours

  • You will only be charged for the hours worked whether that be on your premises or undertaking administrative tasks by A New Dawn on your behalf off-site.
  • The client is responsible for payment of a session where it has exceeded the agreed time.
  • Where a session is about to overrun, this will be discussed with the client and can be stopped at the client’s request.
  • It is at At Dawn Organising's discretion, to charge the client additional hour(s), at the hourly rate advertised on the pricing schedule on this website, if A New Dawn Organising is still working after the agreed finish time.

Working Environment & Safety

  • I reserve the right to pause or end a session if the environment becomes unsafe
  • Where young people are present, supervision by a responsible adult is expected
  • I will not work alone with a vulnerable adult or young person who needs additional support

Liability

  • I take all reasonable care while working in your home
  • I am not liable for any pre-existing damage or issues
  • My insurance does not cover breakages if they should occur; you would need to claim on the house insurance for the property
  • Clients are responsible for arranging appropriate disposal of items unless otherwise agreed
  • If we have agreed that I will do a charity shop drop-off, I will do so straight away. Should you change your mind, I may not be able to return the item to you.

Photographs & Testimonials

  • I recommend taking before-and-after photographs to document the work completed, always with the client’s consent. Digital copies of these images can be provided upon request.
  • I will protect each client’s privacy by ensuring that photographs taken in their home and/or office do not reveal personal information that could identify them.
  • I will always obtain the client’s written consent before using photographs, testimonials, or reviews on my website, social media channels, or in any other advertising or marketing materials.

Safeguarding

Working with Vulnerable Adults

When working with individuals who may be considered vulnerable, I will always treat every client with dignity, respect, and patience; work at a pace that feels safe; ensure decisions remain client-led; and remain alert to any signs of distress or potential harm. I will also need a responsble adult present in the property.

Young People Present

  • Clear professional boundaries are maintained at all times
  • I avoid being left alone with a young person wherever possible
  • A responsible adult should be present or aware during sessions
  • I reserve the right to pause a session if appropriate boundaries cannot be maintained

Lone Working

As a self-employed professional working in clients' homes, I keep a record of all appointment times and locations, inform a trusted contact of my schedule, carry a mobile phone at all times, and trust my judgement to leave any situation where I feel unsafe.

If Safeguarding Concerns Arise

If a client discloses information that raises concerns, I will listen calmly and without judgement, avoid making promises of confidentiality where safety may be at risk, and take appropriate steps to seek advice or report concerns where necessary.

Credentials
